Had this idea come to me just a moment ago...
How about instead of starting the swing with a forward press of the club, we start with a reverse press? My thought is it could encourage good tempo, a lagging clubhead takeaway, and hands foward impact.
Here is how I would do it.
On the count of 1, move the handle back without moving the clubhead (the reverse of a foward press). Simultaneously, feel the tempo in your feet (rocking chair feeling motion).
On the count of 2, move the handle back forward to the impact position while simultaneously feeling the tempo move back left (front foot).
On the count of 3, start the handle back without initially moving the clubhead, producing a tempo induced lagging clubhead takeaway.
Then swing it with that tempo.
Just an idea... it's almost like waggling the handle.
