Noticed during The Players that when they were listing the majors they called the US Open "The Open".....then they said "The British Open"...

....uh.....

If anything should be called "The Open" it ain't the US Open....

Just remembered that...wanted to rant a bit.

I whole-heartedly agree.

There is only 1 "Open". Read any USGA stuff and it will absolutely rankle you when throughout the entire publication they will refer to the US Open as the Open.
