Thanks for posting this vid!! I find that this angle demonstrates a real problem I've had with the Carry in the past. I notice that KJ's move is not exagerated or even that significant; it's just enough to get his path where he needs it, and then it's done. From there, he coasts into the shot.

In the past, when I've tried to do the Carry, I tend to overdo it and "pivot like crazy" OTT, completely killing my chances of hitting a good shot. Also, I've tried to make it a rushed, "take the slack out" kind of move, which also kills the shot.

In contrast, KJ keeps some slack as he makes the move, gets left just enough, and then performs the CP Release perfectly. As Brian and Michael have been saying, "pivoting like crazy is crazy."

I really could have benefited from this clip the other day before I played. I was hooking a lot of my drives out of play, and was trying to fix it with some carry. When I did it well, I hit the ball long and straight, with only a yard or two of movement one way or the other. When I slipped into bad habits, man was it ugly.

He does a tiny outward loop at the top. It just drifts a bit before working back down. Very minimal but enough to get him left.

And yeah his pivot is tame. It supporting the swing, doesn't seem to drive it.
