My old club fitter in Gainesville, FL loves the KZG stuff.

He sells many a driver that use KZG heads.

played them for awhile

Does anyone know anything about kzg clubs? If so, please expound.

I won a set of KZG blades in a tournament several years ago. I don't remember the model.

They were a beautiful set of irons. I played them a few rounds and a buddy of mine fell in love with them so I sold them to him. I was playing Titleist 690Cb's at the time and I didn't feel like the KZG's were a better set. Of course "better" for me is a purely subjective thing so my opinion my be opposite of yours.

I do know that there is an almost 'cult like' following for KZG irons so there must be something special about them. Personally, I found the Mizuno MP-32's to be a better feeling iron to either the 690's or the KZG's. I just never pulled the trigger on a set.

I've played a set of KZG blades for 8yrs and will be getting another set in the near future.
The only problem is finding a builder that carries KZG and does good work.

The Z O Blades Irons. I also have a set of Tom Wishon irons that re excellent too.

KZG is a high end custom brand

Mike Finney used to have a KZG driver that he hit so well it was criminal.

The fact is simple: KZG, Scratch, Muira, Endo, etc, are all quality components, that—in the hands of a great custom club builder like Cool Clubs, are as good as, or better than, many OEM's.

No doubt!

I've just switched to a bag that is almost all Wishon (aside from a Scratch Wedge) and it's the best set of clubs I've ever played.

I'm lucky, though, since my father is a great custom club builder!

I have KZG driver and woods and love them. I thought about going with KZG irons but I love my Wishons. Like Brian said above, find a good fitter and they are just as good or not better than OEM.

Custom Clubs in South Louisiana

Is there anyone in South Louisiana that can do a quality job of clubfitting? Cool Clubs in Arizona is a long ways away. I would like someone objective, not just selling one brand, willing to fit me in whatever works best.

KZG clubs are great. But I know 2 very reputable clubfitters here in Pittsburgh that do very little business with KZG because they can't stand the owner(s) of the company. Personally I love the looks of their clubs and have hit many demos----but as of yesterday my entire bag is now Wishon clubs.
