When I try and use the LCT or the Nicklaus backswing (hands above clubhead to top as BM described on Youtube) I really like the tempo and power storage it gives me but I always slice the ball off the earth. SHould I be doing something in combination w/ this type of takeway on the downswing to make it go straight?

The problem with the lagging clubhead takeaway when trying to it on your own is people end up lagging the hosel instead of the sweetspot.

When you lag it away, make sure you FEEL like you are keeping it shut.

My litle star pupil.

Today I spent the whole say working with my star pupil, and her older brother and Dad.

She has a beautiful "lagging clubhead takeaway" that had the caddies in amazement as the 115 pounder hit one 250 yard drive after another.

This takeaway works fine IF: You can hook it at will.

This student has been taught by me since she was very young, and has NEVER been a slicer. In fact, there was a time she had the hooks. This takeaway helps golfers with the change-of-direction, and usually creates more a later release.

Practice "wedding ring up" for a while—or the whole "Never Slice Again 2.0" pattern. THEN, when you can do it, you are ready to become....Bobby Jones!:D
