Law of flail blues

How in the heck does a swinger resist the law of flail in keeping the left wrist from uncocking too soon in the downswing and consequently getting the swing above the shaft plane? The left wrist can still be flat at separation. This is especially tough for me with driver. In other words, in viewing the swing from the rear, how to keep angle between the shaft and the arms from straightening into an in-line condition prior to separation?

Thanks to all on one of the best golf internet forums (Chuck’s is great too)

Maybe I don't understand, but lets try. I think your arms and hands need to swing faster to an aiming point. Not hurried, faster, quicker. It seems to me you want the left-cocked wrist to unload -- which is fine -- just do it as the hands reach the left thigh or aiming point (area). This in turn will drive your right knee to the target, drop your right should naturally on plane.

You cannot keep and right wrist bent without it making other parts of the body to react. This is the hands controlling the pivot thing.

Ben Doyle on my tape says that you can NEVER be too fast, just to hurried. Being in the Napa Vally area, Ben swings no clubhead before its time. [8D]

Did any of this make sense GG57?

Yes, Mr extensor action :)

I applied more thought toward greater hand speed toward aiming point and had some better results w/ keeping my driver swing on a better plane. Review of tour swings on redgoat's site also revealed that many good players are slightly above the shaft plane at impact.

Thanks
