LEFT ARM ROTATION

So I've been struugling mightily to get my left side to allow my right side to pass on the downswing; with that in mind I was trying out some swings left-handed, and my front side (right side), for some unfathomable reason, works absolutely perfectly. So I tried swinging righty but cross-handed and the whole thing feels so much easier (the correct release and the right side firing past the left) My question.. Why the hell is this? Am I so stupid that I can't figure this out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Does anyone have a set of recommended fundamental differences for those who play crosshanded? It's an interesting swing that I've never thought much about...

Yeah. It's the strangest thing..It feels so easy to swing cross-handed, and I don't know why I SHOULDN'T do it at this stage and with my problems...

I would think that you would tend to more body-closed at impact than with regular hands. A more forward ball position, perhaps?
