left arm rotation

I have a very interesting book by Gerry Hogan called Human Performance and Golf, or something to that effect. He claims the secret of golf is the counter-intuitive move of keeping the watch of the left wrist facing upwards thru impact. He says to "show God the time." I have been showing God the time on my backswing, and trying to keep it upward even through the impact zone. In other words, not letting my forearms roll over. The results have been impressive but there are many switches i am having to turn off to make this happen. Full speed and my hooks return. Pondering why this works leads me to believe it is helping my acculators to release in proper sequence. When it is done right, my feel is the shaft of the club elongates or stretches lengthwise. any help is appreciated.

Vertical hinge shows God the time. Maybe Gerry is the type that wears the watch under his wrist because vertical hinge is weak. A roll, swivel keeps the club on plane. Maybe the elongation of the shaft is just the rioght wrist flattening and the right arm straighten under the reverse roll of the left arm.
