Left Elbow at setup (Righty Golfer)

It seems that the position of the left elbow at setup dictates the way I take the club back. If the left elbow is pointing at the target, I seem to take the club away to the inside and if I set up with the elbow down, the club works more straight back. Of course this is with no manipulation taking it back. I have had success with both but it seems like I eliminate more left shots if the elbow is down at address.

Just looking for any one else's thoughts on this.....

Y.E. Yang

I was watching the Volvo China Open this morning and Y.E. really seems to emphasize keeping the left elbow pointed at the ground when he sets up.

And we all know that he "ain't no joke", so it can't be a bad thing to mimic. :D

Here's a good look at Yang:

Swing Vid

Really love his swing, really dynamic look. Although I think we would need face-on to really confirm what I think I saw this morning.

Y.E. likes to wear those under armor type shirts, which really show the "pocket" in his elbow facing sky-ward.
