Left hand opening up on the backswing

Have the weirdest thing happening to me. I was checking out video of myself and my left hand opens up as I get to the top of the back swing for a split second the clamps back on the way down. The strangest thing is, I am having a lot of trouble sensing it...I see it the video but I can't feel it.

I know Bobby Jones referred to this in one of his videos and as extra power source. That is all well and good but I want to fix it...any recommendation for fixing this?

If you want to check it out, look at the top of the back-swing.

Hmmm..

Tank take a look at his swing. I doubt he needs never slice again.

And Kshoren I can't really see you opening it up.

Sorry the link to the swing wasn't there when I responded.

Also, I agree with you, I cant see the much club face opening in that swing either.

Try to feel like the heel pad of your right hand is pushing against your left thumb at the top of your swing. Then initiate your downswing with something other than such an abrubt pulldown of the butt end, like maybe a sitdown on the left foot.

I don't know if we're supposed to analyze video but.....why do you think this move is a bad thing anyway? You missing shots right?

I miss to the right occasionally, pretty straight with my irons. I just think it is a weird. Not really looking for any analysis, just a tip on how to work on my left hand grip and keep it from getting loose.
