Leg/feetwork & shaft plane at impact

First post, but long time reader here. Just put my swing on youtube, and trying to figure out a few things?

1) Why does my shaft/hands come above the shaft plane at impact?
2) Why does my right foot spin instead of roll through at impact? Is my pivot incorrect? Or is my lower body completely messed up?

What do you guys think?

(I can't figure out how to embed the video in the post)

thanks Jim, looking forward to your diagnosis of my lower body movement. I feel like my pivot is really holding me back, but I can't get the right feeling. Am I on my heels too much at address?

From the front view just past impact, the whole toe is still on the ground and then the heel kind of spins toward the target line and up instead of working towards the target and then up. When I look at the pros footwork, it really looks like they are pushing off the inside of the right foot at impact through the finish.

Jim had an earlier post about the lower body movement being what really separating the amateurs from the pros; I really feel like my lower body doesn't work correctly.

If it helps, for the life of me, I cannot get the ball to start left of the target - when I try and play a cut, it turns into a block cut.

If I had to say something (this IS a good swing), your weight goes down in the left leg a little in the backswing. Your shoulders stop turning a little prematurely. Then, rather than wait on it, you unwind AS you make your shift left, leaving the club behind a bit. Your arms and club have to play catch up a little. Makes it hard to fade it that way.

thanks kevin, really appreciate your input.

two questions:

1) what do you mean by "weight down in the left leg?"

2) waiting on it is something i've worked on my whole life - tried to drop the arms first, pause at the top, delay the hip turn, snead squat, etc, without a lot of luck. Had a lesson with Mike Labauve a long time ago and that is all we worked on. (starting down with the arms while keeping the body closed) Any suggestions?

If you were say, 50/50 at address, in your first move away from the ball you go maybe, 55/45 in favor of the left. Get it reversed.

Don't ever, ever (especially if your trying to fade it) hold your shoulders and "drop" your arms. That's a slack swing, out of sequence. Just don't put a positive torque on your body in the transition. If you got some initial weight out of your left foot on the way back, you could store it up while you fall back on the left leg, "leaving" the hands where they were (on top of the plane).

ok, a little weight into the right side on the backswing makes sense. Are you saying that will take care of the positive torque on the body at transition?
