Perhaps my best day with the driver. I've been lately working more on my pivot, targeting the feet, knees and hips. Maintain knee bend on both the basckswing and downswing, roll onto inside of right foot and heel on downswing, rotate weight to left heel.

Past 2 days, I lifted and stretched my left arm with my right arm, all the way above my head. Was able to execute a hands controlled pivot, with my lower body automatically responding. Then on the dowswing, I let the lag kind of just fall through the ball. I can't think of any specific body part or motion which I used to power the downswing. Lift, stretch and swing.

I always suffer brainlock when trying to target a specific accumulator or pressure point. The above works much better with the driver than the irons. I think I was just letting the lag do all the work.

I'm new here and have been tinkering with the methods presented on this forum. I've been practicing the pivot that Brian teaches. Should the swing start by pivoting w/ my hips, can I preset this movement?

Good for you, DDL -- sounds like you've mastered the MikeSTLOC school of simplicity:

"...hold on to the club...change directions....and LET the weight of the clubhead naturally lag behind... ."
