I have loads of questions but I just want to tackle a few of them at a time.

OK when I first address the ball, I want to say to myself (as Brian did), "what does impact feel like for this shot?" So I move my weight, arms, hands, etc to a good impact position-flat left wrist, bent right and all the jazz. Is this impact fix, by the way?

So once I do that I know my aiming point, right? I know where my hands must be transported to via the pivot. And then, by making little chips/pitches, go ahead and hit the ball. I never knew what aiming point is and now that makes a lot of sense. If I get my hands there, I cannot flip.

Brian in the divot wall drill-those divots were more or less in a straight line right? You made a divot, then proceeded to try and make a new divot where the old one ended-and that was in a straight line, correct?

Thanks, Brian. That was maybe the best instruction I've ever seen and it was a great bargain for 10 bucks (being a poor college student sucks).

bump

and I have some more questions. I am trying to develop the impact hands by setting hands/club on the backswing and then just using the pivot to bring the clubhead to the ball with the hands leading.

I did this today and some of the shots were very crisp and straight-some even had a little draw. Some of them were fades and it feels like, when i try to point the thumbs down, that I am 'holding on' and not letting the club release.

Also, I did a few (well more than a few) shots thin. Perhaps on those shots I was reverting back to old habits (flipping).

Brian, on your backswing (i can't really tell because this video was shot all from the face on camera angle) but do you take the club to the inside. It looks like it from the video but I can't tell for sure. Would you describe your takeaway as more of a rounded move away from the ball?

Thanks,
Erik

Brian does the "twist away" - I think
