letter to beginners

I’ll try to be brief! I started going to the driving range this summer as something to do outside – and I really stink at this golf stuff! (hey – complete beginner, my usual bad shot is a push/slice; and by usual I mean every). I liked the sport, so I after seeing the hype I bought Jim Hardy’s ‘masterclass’ book. No help AT ALL for me:( . Later I bought Bobby Clampett’s book (Impact Zone). This did help and I really like it:) , but good swings came and went. (More went than came) From there I found this forum and Brian’s YouTube stuff (from FLW and Ben Doyle connections). As a beginner it can be a little technical – power accumulators and pressure points etc (leaves me confused! ), but after a few weeks here I decided (mostly on a whim) to buy NSA 2.0. Wow! I’ve gone from not really having any expectation of hitting the ball well (ever) to expecting to hit a really pretty draw.:D :D :D I’ve got what I always wanted, a simple, repeatable, DIAGNOSABLE swing. I still lapse into pushes, but then I do everything Brian teaches on the video, get a big pull hook and then dial back the individual pieces until I have a pretty draw again. Now, am I suddenly scratch? Not by a bigezillion miles, but I don’t completely stink either, and I’m improving.:D

Bottom line? For the cost of a round of drinks (or a box of balls if that’s not your thing – I live in UT) you get over an hour of simple, great instruction – which you can implement easily – from a guy who’s really enthusiastic and doesn’t condescend to you at all. I was really impressed by Brian in the video – and the results from it. So: beginners who want to get better and aren’t sure about NSA 2.0, buy the darn video!;) You’ll be glad you did.

(First ever post on any forums, if this breaks some rules or something just delete it!)

yeah, predominately. To be fair (like I guess most beginners) the slice was just my most frequent bad shot:) I still struggle but it's night and day to the last few weeks. For example, I hit a bucket today and was pretty awful again, got home and watched the video again and realised I'd slipped back into bad habits.

As I kinda said in my first post, I don't want to hit a million miles, just have a simple, repeatable, swing. I feel like putting together the different aspects in NSA 2.0 (correctly) will help me get there.
