I just wanted to say I'm sure glad I found this site so I know I'm getting the "right" information to fix my problems. Quick little story... I started slicing my driver the last week or so and wanted to quickly alleviate this mess. So today while I was at work being productive I started watching never slice again and quickly had an idea of what to look for when I get to the range. Less than one bucket of balls I had it fixed by basically not over rotating the club open on the backswing. I was opening the club too much with never a chance of squaring it back up.
Here is what I find real interesting. We have a new club pro so I stop and chat to kind of see what he knows. Let's just say he is stuck on the old ball flight laws to start with. I start telling him the problem I was having and the first thing he tells me is and I quote "You slice the ball because you are swinging outside to in." *sigh* I try to explain to him that I slice the ball because I had a open club face and that people swing outside in to try and play their slice but he looked at me like I was crazy. I then tried to explain to him a little about the D plane and how the old ball flight laws were incorrect but he was having none of it. Nothing I can do but wish him well and feel sorry for all the people paying him for lessons.
