My prediction for the masters, the winner will be:

1) In the top 10 in the world rankings
2) Averages at least 285 (if there is a decimal round up ex: 284.5) yards off the tee this year

So then you're saying only 5 guys have a chance to win?

Woods, Singh, Goosen, Mickelson, Els ? ( That's a pretty good list....:) )

#6-10 on the World Rankings are averaging under 290: Garcia, Furyk, Toms, Donald, DiMarco.

Ok, i should've looked up the driving category and see where they're at. i'll go check the list and adjust the driving prediction. I might bring it down to about 285

So let's see...before the masters:

Top 10 in the world and my prediction of 285 yards average and their corresponding masters finish:

1) Tiger - 300 yards - Tied for 3rd place
2) VJ - 292 yards - Tied for 8th place
3) Retief - 292 yards - Tied for 3rd place
4) Phil - 298 yards - 1st place
5) Ernie - 292 yards - Tied for 27th place

6) Sergio - 284 yards - 46th
7) Jim F. - 273 yards - Tied for 22nd
8) David Toms - 286 yards - MC
9) Luke Donald - 281 yards - 42nd
10) Chris Dimarco - 282 yards - MC

---

Looks like my original prediction holds and was a better one than what i adjusted to 285 yards. Now there were a couple surprises at the leader board who don't hit it 300 yards everytime but everyone that finished top ten can and does on a semi regular basis.

Augusta played tough but they elmininated too many people from winning. Sad.

I had more fun watching the players than i did the masters

Of those names Tim Clark is only longer than Jim Furyk @ 276.7 They said Tiger was driving it 50yds past him. Like he says, "when you're playing well, you can play well anywhere." Which is what the Masters is designed to do; seperate the good rounds from the bad.

On the other hand, I agree. They have taken several guys out of play.
