Loosing pp3

U mean u have leakage right?

Some drills I've heard are:

1. Fiddle Drill- as in 'Confessions', if you've seen it...kind of a hard one to describe in words I think.
2. Take PP3 and put on TOP of grip, then take thumb on same hand, remove it from touching the grip and put it on top of where PP3 now is. PP3 on top of grip, thumb on top of PP3. You can't cast much w/o those fingers I guess.
3. Wet Towel Drill. Put it on clubhead and drag it through impact...as in TGM with Homer's "swinging a wet mop" example.
4. Pump Drill...basically practice holding the Lag from Start Down to Release (TGM terms Start Down/Release). "Pump" from Start Down to Release a few times (don't release though! This is to get the feel of holding the Lag as long as you can before impact).
5. Hook Drill...grip club in target-side hand...take rear hand and hook index finger around the shaft (on the steel, below the grip- almost halfway down). Now with your hands as they are- finger still hooked- do the Pump Drill basically.
6. Divot Drill- as in 'Confessions'.

Hope that helps man.

I "finally....." understand and know what works for ME.

I conceptually commit to a bent right wrist durig the stroke and once I apply extensor action during the BS, I feel as if my bent right wrist if frozen, locked, whatever word YOU like, and I swing the bent right wrist through to follow through. It is "the bomb" application when you do it and all,.....ALL of your shots will improve (chipping, pitching, full swing, driving, etc). Then you will feel pp3 with no problem.

I "started" though by using the drill the Lynn talks about and thats hitting 20 yard chip/pitch shots with your right arm only...the focus being swinging with a bent right wrist through low-point to follow-through (wrist bent even at follow through with both arms straight).

Axel,

I had a similar problem, which I realized was because my hands were decelerating into Impact -- I think that I was steering or quitting. Anyway, I fixed it by committing to getting my mind off the clubhead and into my hands and started swinging the club aggressively with the hands all the way to the Finish.

Spot on!:)

If the fundamentals are alright, and the swing is basically sound, then quitting and steering are the problems to guard against.
