Low left swipe

right hander's pull hook?

Usually for me, I get relaxed with the grip and it gets too strong. So a closed face and an inside out path=ugly ball flight.

Curtis, you are asking a question using a term that you understand, but others don't.

What is a swipe left? My guess was originally the same as spktho's, but apparently that's
not the case. So next guess is a low left slice?

Low left swipe - Is when the right shoulder swings the hands left = cut slice. Usually from top of swing player wants to go left and the shoulder goes first to start downswing .

Steve, I think he is referring to the underplane swipe where you save it late by swinging left hard after impact with a low VSP.

Glad I'm not familiar. I am familiar with what I call my low left snapper, or snipe.
Maybe I need to learn the swipe to recover from the snipe!

I don't think I used to have these problems back in the days of persimmon woods.
On the other hand the old bod is not quite the same as it was back then.

I was thinking in terms of ballflight. I remember Kevin talking about it now too. The ball flight is high, right and short, right?

Correct for the most part, but can get ugly all over.......or at least that is what I have heard.

Its a high soft queeb to the right usually caused by the clubhead rooping below plane and the player swiping left to not hit it fat. Or by an out hand path at the top and a back up to the inside with the clubhead only and still swiping it low left to save it.

No, it's something else actually. Kevin has mentioned it before.

I was currently swiping it left really badly. The reason was because I was trying a slight tumble on the downswing when in fact i was really turning the face down hard before allowing my arms to drop which made my hands go way outside while my swing path was going inside. Fixed it by keeping my back to the target longer in the transistion.

Where do you get these terms?
