Anyone have any links/photos of his swing? I was just reading Alex Morrison's "A New Way to Better Golf" 1932 again, and found a post impact photo of him that is textbook picture perfect, but I've never seen the rest of his motion.

BTW - Morrison's book was well ahead of its time, some very 'modern' views and concepts and is well worth a read, some real gems.

Never saw that book. I have a book by Seymour Dunn also fits that bill.

Alex Morison also wrote "Better Golf Without Practice" in 1940; A follow up to "A new Way to Better Golf". It has many picture of the greats of the day: Jones, Sarazen , Sneed, Pichard, Thomson, Nelson....

6bee1dee - well worth finding if you get the chance... aside from some 'old fashion' ideas on grip and setup, he really was quite modern in his approach to the game and concepts. There is no doubt he understood lag.

I laughed when I read and wrote "ahead of their time" because frankly it was the time. We may have stepped backwards for a while but the pendulum returns for correction. Lag, flat left wrist, being on plane is nothing new, only newly discovered.

Check out Dunn, he used stop action photgraphy in his book GOLF FUDAMENTALS circa 1922. It is one of those books a modern teacher could rip off and teach as the lastest and the greatest.
