Magic of the Right Forearm

I think Tomasello used this phrase describing the hitting motion but can anyone expand on what he meant?

Is it simply controlling the downswing by driving the right forearm down at the ball and out to right field and allowing the pivot to respond?

Doesn't this have to do with drawing a straight plane line??

Mr Tomasello uses the term from the book. 7-3.

"Furthermore in compliance with 6-B-3-0-1, Bending and Straightening the Right Elbow will RAISE AND LOWER the Left Arm and/or (italicized) COCK AND UNCOCK the Left Wrist without Bending, Flattening or Cocking the Right Wrist. Practice this first at Impact Fix. So, Right Elbow Action either powers and/or controls all three elements of Three Dimensions Impact (6-C-0) per 1-L-9. All this you will come to know as The MAGIC OF THE RIGHT FOREARM."

Further up in the second paragraph " ...it is absolutely MANDATORY that, Hitting or Swinging, it is the Right Forearm--not just the Right Hand and/or Clubshaft--that must be thrown, or driven, into Impact per 7-2-3."

I don't think Homer Kelley wrote MANDATORY very often in his book.

BTW 1-L-9 is Regardless of how the Lever Assembly is driven, it moves in a circle.

I am watching/listening to the TT Australian video as I type this by the way.

Right Forearm Magic and What Else?

Note: The "Magic of the Right Forearm" works most effectively in concert and in compliance with the "Motionless Right Wrist". Then and only then does one begin to fully recognize the precision that the covenants of TGM can provide. Understanding the alignments and mechanics, and the resulting feels that they produce, coupled with the awareness of the pressure points gives one a complete understanding of a "hands controlled pivot". I promise that I've experienced it all... NOTHING is superior to a pattern governed by the pressure points acting in compliance with the proper geometry. Long live the MACHINE!!!!

Perhaps it is being pedantic but I totally get the idea of the right ELBOW being the primary lever here, like a right bicep curl motion following the takeaway which controls the left wrist and supplies some extensor action.

But assuming your right forearm is facing the plane line at the top and you drive the downstoke with the forearm the club has to come OTT. Different to the uncoking motion of the right elbow which effectivey drops the hands behind you some, shallowing the plane. The drop before the rotate on the downstroke

I’ve been working on TT right arm swing and I have no problem of coming OTT. All I think about is driving the side of the right forearm down the inclined plane it came up when I went into back stroke. Then just let the left wrist un-cock and the pivot will react to this motion. You could come over the top if elbow is behind you or you’re using the right wrist to throw the club at the ball.
