manzella arms falling

in one of brians video's he talks about just letting the arms fall /catch the drop and then just pivoting through the ball. I get so caught up trying to find the right plane trying to put the club in a certain position in the downswing. should the arms really feel passive like they are not swinging at the ball? what i get from his video is that once at the top of the swing your arms do nothing and your upper body uncoils through the ball while the arms are just along for the ride.

moeira,

I think you'll find Brian said that it was that easy to hit the ball, but he didn't neccessarily only do that when he made his normal swing....

"Hit it with your pivot", baby.

Even when I am making a swing where I am adding extra FATS..........I know it IS my right arm pushing on the shaft..........but I don't DO it (i.e. conscious intent) by trying to push with my right arm. What I do is a "drop the club" combined with a "left shoulder up" move.

Personally. (but I think it is orthodox)

Brian talked about using the pivot to control the swing during his live show last week......I suppose this would be an example.
