After getting the Ben Doyle G.O.L.F DVD last week and going back over the Manzella Flipper, and Over and Out videos the short game is coming together. I'm hitting those nice little pivot driven chips and pitches. This distance is good, the consistency in distance is GREAT, I just need to focus a little more on the accuracy though at this point I'm less concerned about the accuracy and still wondering how this pivot driven swing can produce the same distances as going after it with everything I have. It just seems so effortless and compact. I can't believe hitting a golf ball can be so effortless. What's interesting is that even letting the club do it's thing (instead of trying to control it or force it) it still takes a divot. When it takes a divot, the club doesn't stop, it doesn't rip out of my hands, and you hardly feel it cutting through the turf. All this time I've heard that but never actually done it. Interesting - the club doesn't need me to power the head through the ball and the ground - who'd have thunk?

Pivot and lag - I've finally got a chance to feel what all the hoopla is about. Pretty freaking cool!

Congrats.

"Hit it with your pivot."

It's a good one for sure.

(axis tilt...kinetic chain snap...throwout action......)
