With Vimeo on Demand, can you actually download a copy of the video to your computer or are you in effect renting a copy of the video for a certain amount of time?

If I buy the video, I want to be able to download a copy to my computer and not just rent it.

Windows 7, 64-bit problem fix for playing the Quicktime version of the movie

Brian,

Just in case anyone else encounters this problem.

I am running the 64-bit version of Windows 7.

The Son of Flipper video downloaded as a QuickTime movie and when I tried to play it I encountered an unknown error. Googling the error I saw that this was a known error with the 64-bit version of Windows 7 running QuickTime movies and there was no known good fix.

My solution, which worked perfectly the very first time:
Right click on the QuickTime icon for the downloaded movie
Select Properties from the drop-down menu
Click on the Change button to change the program used to play the movie. I changed it to VLC media player.
Click the Apply button and the OK button if needed.

The icon for the downloaded movie will indicate it is now a VLC media file and will play with the VLC media player which works infinitely better than the basic version of QuickTime.

The VLC media player can be downloaded for free at VideoLAN - Official page for VLC media player, the Open Source video framework!
