I tried to work on mashing last night (hitting down on the ball as though it's in a divot). I'd say 80% - 90% of the time the results were good; i.e. the ball exploded off the club face & started straight, or a little right, before drawing back to the left. However, ALL of the hits had very low trajectories. Never more than 3' - 5' off the ground. How can I change this? I'm guessing that I'm delofting the club face too much through impact. Being uncomfortable with the technique it feels like I'm almost topping the ball.
 
Got to change your handle 'YODA'. There is only ONE Yoda and sorry but it's not you. The mashing workout your doing though is a good idea to do from time to time!

Oh, I don't know... first come, first serve, as they say.:D Besides, I think Lynn/Holenone enjoys posting here under a different handle. He's developed an alter ego with an attitude as Holenone. Either that, or he's developed a multipersonality disorder. :D
