The Double Conexxion is excellent.

This is the only one I've read but it is incredibly complete. I'm sure you will hear lots about this one.

Check out http://www.clearkeygolf.com/

Seriously look into it man...seems that it is made to be "the book to end all books."

I've heard Zen Golf is good as well. Haven't read it though...

Ya man, ur exactly right...and this is one of the first things Carey wants to get across with his books. I dunno...it seems that this guy is all about getting the truth out. His method is just that...it's a method</u>...not just a bunch of vague hints simply telling you what you need to achieve or what state of mind you need to be in.

Everyone knows that crap. The book is very detailed...

When you get it, you fill out a quiz of personal questions that Carey evaluates himself (I got a 3-page, personalized analysis in less than a day) to better determine your personal style (to get to know yourself better, basically). He is also open to answering questions as they come...just awesome.

I am a PURE analyzer. That playing style survey Carey does has helped me understand my behaviour both on and outside the golf course better. I have learned to do things as analyzers should and it has helped me a lot.

I want to elaborate on what I said about this book because it really is fantastic.

One thing that comes to mind is a quote I read in the recent Golf Digest about "Getting in the Zone." In one part of the article, Ernie Els' psychologist said "If you find yourself shaking over a putt, don't try to stop shaking, just allow your hands to shake and give them no attention and they will stop shaking."

This is another one of those things that needs explaintion in a more "how to" form rather than, as in the way he explained it, being left as where you need to end up (the DESIRED end result...of something- but what?).

This quote always made sense to me in that it's basic premise was pretty easy to understand...but it's much easier said than done.

What Carey made me realize is that this anxiety (what causes you to shake) is a normal human response to pressure. It is naturally, and rightly there with every single person but must be managed and channelled rather than fought. This is what the above quote was outlining...but you can't apply the idea of that quote if you do not realize WHY you need to "leave the shaking alone." It is not enought to just say "stop thinking about it."

Once you understand that, you are on your way to accomplishing things.
