closet white belter.......I knew it

why do you guys have to be so malicious?...you're so mean spirited and this hurts so much....i don't know how we could ever go on searching for a more accurate understanding of the golf swing...please give me a minute to reflect

This video shows us that not all white belt wearers are ardent one pattern swing teachers. Thanks for bringing that to the light Michael, I will now save judgement upon seeing golf instructors with white belts until I hear what they have to say.

;)

This is a great entry. The information is simple enough to help a golfer today, yet meaningful enough to return to in the future for a tune-up. I would expect the golfing/viewing public would look forward to seeing more from Michael Jacobs.

Wore it specially for the white belt community... Even tossed on the jay Lindberg shirt & slacks for detail. What did you think of my slow motion swing gmbtempe?? Next time I just need to lean left a little more???

I rest my case. Long shafted, huge headed Drivers are good for NO ONE, except touring Pro's and t eachers with Trackman.
Unless you have many hours a day and access to a trackman you will never be as accurate as the standard Driver of years ago.
Worse thing that EVER happened to the game, if these things were around in the 60s , 70s you would never have heard of Nicklaus.
Bring on the Dynamic Gold, strong 3-wood. :D .

Never heard of Nicklaus??? Huwhaaaaattttt?? Danny...

Keep in mind a 3 wood today might go as far as an old driver...

And the game is played on a larger scale now...

i.e. No matter how good you hit it, if you are hitting it 300 instead of 275 all else equal you will miss more fairways.

i.e. Corey Pavin a little off? Might still catch the fairway. Bubba Watson the same amount off? Look out...

TGC has some very good people to choose from...best of luck to whoever wins.

Great video Mike.

Tee height and COG must factor in yes?

Easier and more likely to hit a ball teed down with a driver back in the day I presume?

Less D-Plane difference from hitting it off the ground?

I think it's my own misunderstanding, but every time I hear Michael say "lie angle" I'm thinking/getting it confused with vertical swing plane (angle)...is that just me or...?

Don't get uptight because it's upright

Are the Drivers more upright today because of the larger size heads to keep players from slicing. The more upright the lie angle the more closed the true face angle will be? I remember when PING had drivers with different hosels in there ISI driver, the more upright the more anti slice they claimed. That idea didn't last long for them though.

Lean left? what are you getting at? I did notice your slow motion swing, pretty good...you got your shirt buttons and left shoulder over your right foot and got loaded well into your right side and maintained alot of right sidebend...did you notice your eyes looking for the ball again on the downswing thought that was intresting, would also say you sorta hung back on that one a little maybe and your hips backed up into the follow through and stayed in flexion a lil? looked like a solid strike though. Shouldve wore some puma shoes or foot joy icons :p. they go great with the white belt and JL wear!

Good video though you have great camera presence and you deliever your info clear and you make it simple to understand.

Lia,

The topic of the video about the driver was a simple explanation of the Vertical Swing Plane Angle with a driver. I discussed the measurement of the club head relative to the ground, most mainstream golfers are familiar with the lie angle of the club so I tied the 2 together for a point of comparison

Very good instructor, I have learned a lot from his videos just like I have learned a lot from Brian's. He needs a little thicker skin though if you question or disagree with him.
