Anyone know why Moe started the club a foot back from the ball at Address?

I have tapes of Moe practicing with some guy asking questions. That was one of them. Moe's answer...By doing so, he is able to eliminate that much of the swing.One of the few comments he made about his own swing that was correct.

Jimmy TAUGHT IT to lots of folks and Greenup did it on his putts (that he addressed OUTSIDE his left foot.
They both had the same reason (although they ddin't know it)...

from impact fix, if you keep your arms frozen and move your hips back from "impact open" to "address parallel" that's where the club ends up...so if you start there you already have your wedges formed w/a FLW/BRW w/o having to transition from "address hands" and you and just take 'em to the top/end from there...
