Drill - The Clamp
(maintaining the level and bent right wrist - club and forearm as an angled extension of each other)
Step 1 - Grip down the grip and clamp the club to your forearm with your left hand.
Step 2 - Swing back and then take left hand off and only allow bend (no cocking) in the right wrist.....
Chances are it feels very different to what you felt before...

Really what is mean't by this move is lateral rotation of the arm. This pic will make it really easy to see...
Concept - Checkrein action of left arm
Because the left arm is a constant length you will encounter problems when the right forearm fans, you need to allow the proper checkrein action by bending the arm upwards independant of the lower arm.
This is what is meant when you need to be in a position to slap at the ball...
