Nicklaus, Didrickson and Athleticism

My vote goes to Nicklaus as the most under rated golf swing of all time. His and Babe Didrickson's are not only dynamic, very efficient but the kind of golf swings that rank in my top ten. The discussion about true athletes playing golf at the highest level is and has been around for many years(ie. Didrickson won 2 olympic gold medals). I think that between the two of them they won 7 US Opens.

Distance

With Jack's positions as strong as they were back then, how far would he have hit it with that swing and today's equipment. Further than Tiger, or Bubba or Wetterich?

matt...........I agree.....I think he IS way underrated.......when people think of "golf swings," that is.

I agree he was a much better ball striker than people seem to think, ive been reading his autobiography and he played quite a lot of rounds in majors where he hit every green in regulation, i dont think tiger has ever done that in a regular tour event let alone a major. At the 1967 us open he hit 67 greens in regulation i think, so he must be pretty good:)

I'm pretty sure Tom Lehman has never missed a green in Ryder Cup singles. To me, that's a swing i want. He might have the strongest left wrist in golf.
