Moving towards middle

Has anyone gradually moved to the middle by themselves? Not sure, but I think I'm a little closer. I went from NSA to SD to NHA. This spring I had good success with NHA as my hooks totally went away and I was hitting my long irons better than ever. For the past few weeks for some reason I've "naturally" changed my swing a little. It wasn't something I was trying to change it just happened. It's a little more orthodox than NHA and I'm hitting the ball great, pretty much a straight shot. My long irons are still amazing as I'm hitting greens from around 200 yards like crazy. I've never had this much confidence with long irons. I wish I had a video so you guys could see it and make comments. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Few Q's Curtis,

What was your hcp pre NSA, what is it now? How long did it take you to make this progress you have? You said you were hitting the ball "pretty much strait", does this mean no draw or fade? Are you hitting the shot type you prefer?

Sorry for the grand inquisition, just curious to learn of your sucsess.

HDCP before? Yikes, not good. Sliced like crazy. Probably in the 20's. Nothing official but I'm around the low teens right now.

The process took several years only because I stopped playing for a few years, other than a few times. In the last 8 years I've really only golfed a lot for 2 years, with this year starting my 3rd. The years I didn't play I hit hundreds/thousands of balls in my garage, not sure if it helped or hindered my game however.

As for the direction, all I do is change my stance and clubface depending on where I want it to go. Sometimes I'll get a little unwanted direction if I really try to crank on it but otherwise it's pretty much straight.

PS If I could putt my HDCP would be a lot lower. I suck at it. :(

Sorry, but YOU fail. This has NOTHING to do with "Pattern 13" dumbass. I laugh at your idiotic attempt though to "uncover" the "real" reason for my post. Next time get a clue Inspector Gadget.

How did you feel about the transition from NSA to SD? Where there major differences? So far NSA is the only one I have.

Yes, essentially you are moving towards the middle. I took a similar route minus the soft draw.

The transition wasn't too complicated honestly. I basically just bought the dvd, watched it a few times and started playing. Worked great at first, had some BOMB drives, but then I started hooking the ball. Obviously it's not the patterns fault it was mine, started swinging too far right. Then with NHA and practicing swinging left over the winter (living room), my hooks basically vanished.

I'm pretty sure the driver is all i need the twistaway for. I never slice my irons anymore, my misses are pushes and hard draws. Not sure if I'm intuitivly twisting away or swinging to far right. Do you believe SD was the culprit of your hooks?

Yes, but as I mentioned earlier it was MY fault, not the patterns. I think I just started overdoing the "swing right". If done RIGHT, the pattern works great.
