Mathew,

Nice job. You have been working hard. It shows.

Redgoat

Thanks Redgoat and thanks for the tips also :)

Redgoat was nice enough to have a look at my swing and it led to good things - Basically his advice was to try to get more forward at impact and found that I had a better heavy slow feeling through impact and on video the downswing looked better, so I concentrated on this feeling and managed to implement it better.....

Basically I think changing your downswing is a harder task than correcting the backswing, actually I hit my best shots just after this footage. Around 30 5 irons in a row straight as a die with a sizzle sound - no yardage marker but I know that they went a long hitting pro distance. Infact my ballstriking this day was in the top 2 or 3 practice sessions since playing the game.....

Great swing!!

What starts your transition/downswing?

Thx

What comes up must come down....lol

Really I don't think of a move per-se and really my downswing is usually not that good - best to ask someone else...

If I had to provide a feeling from this day - it would be winding up on the backswing and the intention to 'hit' the ball into the ground with a non fast sweepy motion....

Mathew: The swing is looking much better. Well done. Do you mean by getting more "forward at impact" that you are more "stacked" and have less axis tilt ? I know Brady and Brian differ on theit opinions on this. Thanks.

Mathew: I have found this the case also. Did you get my email last week?

Very nice Mathew - you do an outstanding job of keeping your hands and chest in synch, far, far, better than many pros even, and that will serve you well for many years to come, very much agreed that that 'heavy' feel is one of the most important keys

keep up the great work

don't ya just love that sizzle ;)

Mathew,
That is great. My advice would be to stop thinking about your swing now and just let it work.

Is it free to post video on that site? I would like to post mine.

Matthew,

It looks like you keep the clubface looking at the ball for much of your swing. Are you working on the twist away move that Brian talks about in his article? I am also working on this but the clubface seems to get too closed and I hit low shots or left shots. Swing looks great!
