the DTL was blocked to the right with a slight cut and the face on was straight maybe slight pull.

any comments welcome

Clubface very shut at top sure you know about that already. You get on to your toes at impact infact it looked like you even left the ground.

I Like it.

I like it.

But...

If you want to get better...

Hands more in, w/clubhead slightly more out in the takeaway..

Slightly weaker grip.

A little softer right arm at the top.

A little less "Soft Draw" finish.

thanks guys

kevin, pitchng is erratic, but im putting that down to not playin since early january. can get good contact on the pitches, its distance control i struggle with

brian, funny as it is, i'd hit some drivers befor these SO far right it wasnt funny. so i was using a more SD type release and finish in order to square it up. didnt really work lol

also, just wondered as to why you've suggested these fixes. i mean, i've been hitting the ball right with the driver. that DTL video started where you see on the video then faded/sliced even further right. and even stranger, the iron shots are being pulled

Swing looks pretty good pecky. I like your pivot. Just need to fix that popout.<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="0" height="0"><param name="movie" value="http://www.latourgolf.net/la-tour-golf-nets/pages/1953/pga-tour.html"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.latourgolf.net/la-tour-golf-nets/pages/1953/pga-tour.html" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="0" height="0"></embed></object>

I find that the more flat and laid off that I am (like you are in those swings), the more pulls I have. espesialy with Irons. I have found on my own, like what brian suggests if you keep the hands in, and clubhead out... it will start to deminish the pulls.
As for why you are push fading the driver? hell I dont know, the driver is a fickle club;)

tried brians suggestions. heres the result

ballflight?

open face slices. ball starts right and and slices. path looks ok but face must just be wide open. that particular one was ski-ed of the top of the club. :(

there were some good signs. at the range earlier i'd started hitting some high, long iron shots with slight fades (left to right wind)

i think i may have an alignment problem. whon on he range with something to align my self with i hit them straight. but i think i close my stance alot on the course without realising it.

again, suggestions welcome

I don't see the arms "popping out"...I see you rolling the golf club away from the ball early with the hands/forearms in the BS..maybe think in with the hands and the feeling of NO wrist cock in the backswing, also are you bent over more to the ball in the last sequence?...but what do I know.

Your take away is to much inside and not enough up. Work on club face control and do not open the club face as much on the back swing. Try a little of counter clockwise rotation of the left forearm during the take away. This would be an easy move and will help square the club face during impact.

I strongly second this advice! It looks to me like the clubface is a bit too open, and there's a move right before impact to try to close it with the right hand/arm.

GH,

Clarify for me if you will. Are you saying he should rotate his left forearm a little to the left meaning more underneath. I have heard you mention before in some of your you tube video's.......Not sure I understand counter clockwise rotation. I mean I know what direction counter is but simply put rotate a little left for a right handed golfer.........? An issue I may need to address.

Thanks

If you start with the club face square at address you would just rotate the club face a little left for a right handed golfer during the take away and maintain it through impact. If you still find the club face is open too much at impact you can start with the club face slightly closed at address. This will change the sweet spot feel and sometimes make it easier to feel when you are open the club face during the take away. Once you get the feel of not opening the club face during the take away you can go back to a square club face at address and work on how much counter clockwise rotation you will need for your swing.
