My Move to the Middle

To follow up on Doubled's praise of 'moving to the middle', I have a story and I know how all you boyz love a good story.

In June I went to see Brian in Louisville, after nine months of de-junking my hook we moved me to the middle. I returned and hit a couple buckets and joined a friend of mine to win a charity 2 man tournament 1 week later.

I then layed off for 2 weeks, and then played 2 times this weekend:

Day 1: White Hawk Golf Club 72.0/130 6600 yards

I started off rusty with bogey, double, par, double. Finished with 79, going 1-6 on birdie putts inside of 5 feet! I did make a 25 footer and then chipped in for birdie. I was all over the flag after the rough start.

Day 2: Battle Creek Golf CLub 72.5/130 6703 yards

77. Missed 5 birdie putts inside 5 feet. (The stroke is a work in progress) From hole 3 through 14 I was just laughing becuase I was hitting it so purely right where I was looking. I had a tap in birdie and 2 ten foot makes during this stretch. I took a double on 17 after hitting a wayward drive onto a cart path that kicked it 40 yards dead left OB.

I had not broken 80 since last July.
Long and short of it: Moving to the middle rocks!

Nice job jbrunk! I always like to hear success stories. Now that you are in the "middle", what does your ball flight look like? Is the middle straight? Thanks

Hey Curtis,

My ball flight now is mainly dead straight with an occasional 3-5 yard fade.

Yesterday, I actually hit an on-purpose 15 yard draw around a tree to 12 feet.:D

I kind of have a soft fade backswing with a soft-drawish downswing.
