My Time with Brian Manzella at English Turn

My name is Gian Milano and I recently worked with Brian over the course of three days down in New Orleans. It was outstanding, I simply can't recommend it highly enough. Everything was top-notch.

For starters, Brian is a phenomenal instructor. Most people who are talented and successful at one thing would be so at any number of others. Brian is no exception, but he chose golf instruction because he has a passion for it and that really shines through on the lesson tee. I had the impression he was just as excited to be there as I was, and that means a lot.

As my testament to Brian's ability to fix a swing, I invite you to check out this thread, if you haven't already. There was no "You're gonna hit it worse for a while." No. Brian made a substantial alteration to my swing in a very short amount of time, and he found a way to make it stick. I played the City Park North Course this morning and hit shots I simply could not have hit three days ago. There were a lot of "goose pimple" shots, the kind that make you think "Whoa, did I really just make the ball do that?"

Obviously the instruction was fantastic, but in addition to that, I also had the privilege of being the first Manzella student to be taught at English Turn Golf and Country Club, Brian's new base of operation. Let me tell you, it's no joke.

The course is great, and the practice facility is awesome. Huge double-sided grass range, which is great because Brian basically gets one end to himself when he teaches. Two very nice short game greens providing an endless number of shots you can practice, and, they cut the practice greens just like they cut the course greens, which is nice. Also, there's a huge putting green with just the right amount of contour and plenty of space. All in all, English Turn is a great facility and will augment Brian's already outstanding instruction. Obviously I'd encourage anyone who wants to become a better golfer, and have a great time doing it, to get down to New Orleans and see Brian.
