Name on your bag is like a licence plate!
If your name is on your bag you must not swear, play slow, repair all divots and plug marks, smile at everyone, be polite tip your cap and basically suck up to judge smails.

Not throw it away, play orthodox strokes not teach too radical patterns.

Its all too hard just carry a black plain stand bag and stay anonomous.

I"ve got a funny story along those lines.

Many years ago, I was a PGA Pro in SE Missouri. Like most pros, I had 2-3 golf bags in the pro shop that had my name sewed on them. (Most club companies do this when you become a big buyer of their goods). Well, I got out of the golf business and was selling most of the stuff in my shop. A guy came up and offered me $100 for a staff bag with my name on it. He said he was going to cut the stitching off and wanted the bag. I sold it to him and didn't think any thing about it. Until about 2 years later, I see the dude at my old course. He is using my old bag WITH MY NAME STILL ON IT. This guy gets up on the first tee. By his stance, grip, etc. I know this guy is a 36+ hdcp. He wiffs a few then dribbles it off the tee... Runs and jumps in the cart with my old bag on it and drives to his ball. All I can think of is the countless times this guy has beat it around the golf courses of SE Missouri and all along, everyone thinks he is me.

Apparently, I just don't get the inside joke.

Brain, tried to pm you about this, but not possible. Want to get this on the straight and narrow to avoid future issues...
