Need computer expertise...

Not sure where this post went but it is golf related.

I do not have a dvd player on my computer and my camcorder is an older one (vhs-c) that doesn't have any plug-ins to use with a computer. I do however have a dvr-recorder that can dubb the little vhs-c tapes onto a dvd.

So, how does my neighbor (who has a dvd player on computer) get my swing off the dvd and onto an e-mail in a jpeg, avi, or wav file so that they can e-mail it to me and I'll have it on my computer?

You need DVD ripping software. It can be a complicated process depending on what you use. I used to use a program called Virtual Dub to rip the audio, TMPG (or something like that) to rip the video, and then TMPG to compile them back together. I haven't done it in a long time though, since DVD burners, so there may be better/easier programs out there now.

Try DVD-Shrink. It's free and easy to use. Basically, RIPs DVD's to file. The file sizes are large so just do short clips that you can then email.

Thanks so much. Is this DVD-Shrink available on a site to download?
