Never Hook Again compared to a One Plane (rotary swing)

In another thread I brought up how much I love Brian's explanation of the Never Hook again pattern. Personally, I have added the twist away to get the flat left wrist and then I simply, drop the arms as I rotate home. The shot seems so simple because it is powered by the core, not the arms and it's that reason I love this pattern. It seems like a shot that will really hold up under pressure.

Playing the never hook pattern, however, reminded me of another swing that I worked on for about a year, the one-plane (rotary swing). I really struggled with the rotary swing because I would often default to "hitting" the ball instead of letting my passive arms drop while my torso rotated back.

From my limited experience, I feel that the no hook swing will be much easier for me because of the upright swing plane instead of the very around (deep inside) swing plane of the one plane swing.

I am hoping that maybe others on this forum have experience with the one-plane swing and might be able to shed some light on comparisons.

The reason I bring it up is because it seems like "the other" theory caused serious problems in my golf swing that I am still working through today. However, I think that if anyone on this forum, like myself, tried to venture down that path in the past, then the never hook again pattern may be something they can grab onto quickly and make it work.

I think that the never hook again pattern is so easy because the swing plane keeps the arm/club in front of you and a much better sense of being connected. This club/arm position provides a real sense of comfort that the club is already in position so the desire to "hit" at the ball with the arms is much, much easier to avoid (my feeling). It's the plane (I think) that makes this a pattern that is easy to reproduce with the torso...taking the hands and arms out of the swing.

I appreciate the nice words, but I am going to take the thread down because we don't discuss other teacher's stuff when it can be avoided.
