Well done.

Does this swinging door from the right leg to the left leg, well I know you can do it but does the faster that door closes will it make it harder to time out say under pressure. Is less door swing maybe make it easier to time out consistent contact?

It doesnt matter how fast the door closes...as long as it is like a door closing. LAFW rotation vs. left arm and club twisting. Or as your people would say, the handle raisers, right?

Brian didn't write 'horizontal hinging' in this thread (I think that is what Kevin means).

I took the video to be just about getting the feel of the clubface and forearms working properly. Not a TGM thing.

I like the video.

One comment would be that Brian seems to have to talk a bit too quick to get the points across, and on the first viewing it's tricky to take it in. If I present and I am talking quickly it is a good sign that I'm trying to pack too much info into too small of a space.

That's how to best release the club properly in my opinion but you need a neutral grip. Guys with a strong grip can't release the club like that without hooking it...It's also a great chipping/pitching motion.

Haha, this may be the time to throw tgm terminology out and "get it right" this time. The door movement (the bottom) traces through a horizontal plane, but the actual door hinge axis of rotation (bolt) is vertical. Time to rename this "vertical hinging" :D

Actually, the video make a great point..as to not getting confused about the impact action just because of their finish. Thanks Brian.

I guess I am wondering if its better to have max door closing "Phil Mickelson" versus someone who closes that door less like David Duval or Lee Trevino.

I regret using TGM term. The last thing I want to do is to get into debates weighing the pros and cons of sequenced versus random releases, etc.

I got ALOT out of this video...for months I have been working on a flatter follow through and an improved release...in short I had no release.

Two swing thoughts: 1) get back of club resting on swing plane during backswing 2) square it up to to hit the ball (and then let the momentum do the rest). Brian's watchface signals are part of the basics and the drill in the video, as simple as it is, is a gem.

I went to the range last night with no other intention apart from getting this release working. First ten shots were all hooks. OK big hooks. I stayed patient and content knowing that i was making really good contact. I figured it was a timing issue. Shots 11-15 got progressively straighter as I adjusted the swing path to go more outside and then bingo, I was walking down main street with Dorothy and the animals.

Thanks Brian.
