New Discussion: Cause / Effects of Hand Position at Address

Been really thinking about the hand position at address, and pondering the effects on the swing. Thought it might be good to start a thread on the subject.

Very curious as to the following:

Hands low or high at address? What are the pros and cons of each setup? Who would you recommend a low hand position to? High position? Effect on ballflight patterns? (I've been fooling with both, and hands high feels W I E R D... almost like I am slapping the ball with the club. Then again, I have a pop-out problem  I'm still working on)

I know Brian strongly advocates centered hands, and from watching CFF I know why. Would you recommend forward pressing to anyone?

Your hand position at impact will have a bearing on the d-plane. However, hand position at address only helps build structure for that particular swing.

GENERALLY--High hands at impact produce a more in-out true path and low hands the opposite.

I think Brian has it absolutely right with LCT and mid-body hands!
