Shifters

Ben "The Wee Iceman" "The Hawk" "Mr." Hogan - Double Shift - elbow to turned shoulder to elbow

Moe "Pipeline" Norman - Reverse Shift - turned shoulder to elbow

Lee "The Merry Mex" Trevino - Reverse Shift - turned shoulder to elbow

Tom, if time allows, can you post some photos showing this?

I vividly remember a video showing Moe's clubshaft being slightly steeper at Impact than Address, a characteristic very few players exhibit. This obviously can't happen with a Reverse Shift (10-7-E from Turned Shoulder Plane Backstroke to Elbow Plane Downstroke).

Steeper...no way. I have a few hours of Moe hitting balls and even the goof videoing him notices that his hands are lower at impact. Really good footage of Moe with all clubs (except putter) even bunker shots where he holes one out of every 3 or 4.

I will try to put some up on the sight as soon as possible.

Watching the down the line line video for several minutes, it appears Moe had a very late shift from tsp to elbow plane. Interesting.

Ooops, I was speaking complete rubbish. Must be the jet lag. I meant exactly the opposite of what I was trying to say. You are right...

I'm changing my answer for Moe. After watching some of my video footage I want to call him a double shifter* (with an asterisk). He sets up with the shaft on square shoulder plane, then takes it in to elbow and almost up to turned shoulder, then back down to elbow. Regardless, he traces a pretty straight plane line.:)

That's one of the problems with the general label "double shifter". There are those who you can really see the double shifts...and there are others who's double shift is tiny...
