NSA Downswing pivot

In NSA, the were two different chapters on the downswing portion im working on. Im confused about which movement I should focus on. Brian mentions of "rock 'em sock'em robots" to pull the club through, wich is basically left shoulder up and back, i get it. But then later he mentions that the left shoulder should stop about half way down to let the arms swing past your body. I was curious if they accomplish the same thing or are they in fact different feeling and which should be applied and when. Great site by the way.

well the points are place in order that you try them. so whichever one comes first is the one you should do first lol

i think its the robot one that comes first, i havnt watched it in a while

It's a case of "A" before "B". Your shoulders have to reach that position first before the arms swing by. Many slicers are too active with their shoulders and never let their arms/club to catch up.

The Never Slice Again Pivot.

"Never Slice Again."

For all the poor slicers in the world, and the teachers who can't fix 'em.

The "poorly cured" slicers as well.

The pivot of a slicer is almost always starts with a left-leaning address, followed by a reverse pivot on the backswing, with start down utilizing a forward upper body lunge, and a last minute attempt at axis tilt that produces a poof kinetic chain anti-snap.

So, we start with some tilt, add some more going back, and move into a bit more on the downswing.

You have to be able to "swing under the stick" you see. ;)

In ANY good downswing pivot, the left shoulder AREA moves the power package (arms, hands & club unit) from the top, toward release point.

Then all the kinetic chain stuff starts happening. Which includes some independent arm swing.

Remember the ORDER of the video. It is meant to be followed—as needed.
