No wander he always bit on the play action fake against Bama.

What is it with Hawaii and reality?

Dont want to pre judge but the whole thing seems strange, I mean his brother was in on the hoax, he made statements he met the girl, and she came to Hawaii.

The way this was played was these two were a very serious couple, Tao helped that narrative, so even if duped he certainly was not turning down the attention.

Notre Dame knew about it on Dec 26th, 19 days before the final game, and said nothing or attempted to correct the narrative.

His father said she had met the family in Hawai'i as well. The whole thing stinks to high heaven in my opinion. Gotta be careful, maybe the kid really is naive and got taken advantage of. I tuned out on the presser tonight when the AD said something along the lines of "yeah we swear he was gonna come forward on his own next week until the news broke tonight."

As hilarious as this story is... and it is... I think the journalist that didn't bother to check the facts before he broke the story way back when should be the most embarrassed of all.

It's called legwork and it's part of your job description.

Makes me wonder how many more of these tearjerker pieces that they run every weekend before the football games start here on the east coast have been partially or somewhat fabricated.
