Ok, time to start again. How?

I'll try and keep this brief. I'm an 8 handicapper (UK), and I have no consistency. I tried SD last year, with some promising early results, but I kept hitting long irons fat and hitting pull hooks with the driver.

I recently had a series of lessons with a local instructor who had me making a very 'rotational' backswing (ie body turns and the 'triangle' is just carried to the top), and then trying to swing 'to the right' on the down swing.

The result: about 20% fat, no consistency, and pushes, draws, pull hooks and push-fades. Lots of toe contact, extreme in some cases.

I thought about NHA, but my downswing has always been steep bordering on OTT.

I will try to post a vid soon, but any advice on how I 'dejunk' and start again?

Thanks in advance.

PS I own all the vids if that helps with the guidance.

I think the best way to dejunk and get back on track is to do the back and forth drill from the SD video. You don't need to try to do the SD pattern, just do the drill and let the club do what it needs to do to hit the same spot each time. Practice it as much as you can until you can post a video.
