Best of luck to Team USA but I hope we take you down. There will be a mass suicide in Canada if we lose.

This game is gonna be nuts...

What a game. Hats off to the USA. I'm a transplant Canuck and have played hockey (still do) all my life. My Dad said years ago that it was just a matter of time before the sheer numbers of US hockey players would eventually overtake Canada. That time is in the not too distant future.

I'll have to say, the teams were pretty evenly matched. Granted, we had more talent on the ice and some shaky tenders, the US did great and played as a team.

The real winner of the game was simply the game of hockey in North America.

But for the time being....Oh Canada:) Yeahaaaaaaaa!!

Yaaaaaaaaaaa!! Jim it was close...too close for comfort! All is well that ends well though, I suppose.

Crosby scoring the winner...was...icing on the cake. Happy to see him pull it off.

Great game.

We honestly needed this. If we were to lose on our home soil (and 2x against USA) it would be just terrible.

Closing ceremonies I give a C-.

Mike J Fox was good to see and spoke well...the crazy "It's A Small World" style thing with the moose and beavers was cool...

But Shatner unfortunately was not very funny for Shatner...the girl after him I thought was kind of silly...

...and who the heck cares about most of those bands. I could hardly watch when Avril Lavigne and Simple Plan and Hedley came on. Pop rock. Terrible.

I have no problems with Buble though and Neil Young is a legend. Nickelback was even not bad for Nickelback. (douchey and all) To their credit, when they do harder rock they do it pretty well. Minimal doucheness was a large plus as well.

Don't know exactly who I'd pick but somewhat off the top of my head...Great Big Sea, The Guess Who, The Hip...hell even someone like Gordon Lightfoot would be better.

Terrible way to end it...!! But glad we took the hockey.

It was a good game and a great moment for our country. I think that we played better in the previous game against the US, but Miller was the big difference. Big props to Burke, he did an excellent job putting together a well rounded gritty team. Every time Kane touched the puck it looked like he was going to score. Im just glad that the game didnt go to a shoot out, I think that it is a terrible way to decide a medal game.

I did hear that there are more kids enrolled in hockey in the US now than in Canada which is interesting so...I guess :cringe: anything is possible. :);)
