One confused swing!

I am making great strides, but get off track often. I think it's possible some days I try to play as a hitter and some as a swinger. A few examples:

What I think are hitter moves: bent right wrist at impact pushing the grip through. Using my right arm to "flex the shaft" through the ball.

What I think are swinger moves: Rolling the clubface up the plane on the backswing. Letting my arms fall in front of me, then pivoting through impact and creating throwout.

The other difficult part is I've had the club under the plane for years, and am working on getting it on the plane. As soon as i try to add something to my swing (like soft wrists), I dive back under the plane and hit pushes all round.

any suggestions?

I think Drive Loading is the earsier way to learn and do....in a way, as the body will make the adjustments necessary to handle the forces. But I also think this has limitations especially as we get older.

Swinging is a bit more complicated so to speak. That being said, Tom Tomasello taught it in such a simple manner by educating the hands.

The left hand simply turns, uncocks and rolls. The right hand is bent back by the turning left hand and the added extensor action of the hand pressure.

Imo, when this right hand pressure is lost things can collapes and alignment is lost. I find that this happens to folks who try to let their arms fall. I think there should be some force that helps to send the hands and arms in the right direction so they can load properly.

I'd say try a sweep, or random release to gain some control over the downswing.
