I don't care for it much, it gets the hands and chest out of synch. OK perhaps for the sand, where you want to zero out any lower body motion and have a stable base. As long as the downswing is sequenced properly, you can make this work however. I much prefer a focus on getting the back of the lead shoulder behind the ball, as if knocking down a door with it.
