Our own Ryan Smither accepts Teaching Post at Woodmont GC outside Atlanta

Manzella Academy Instructor Ryan Smither, a long-time protege of Mike Finney and Brian Manzella, has accepted a Teaching Professional position at Woodmont Golf Club in Canton, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.

He will run the club's already successful Junior Program and will give private and group instruction to all ages at the facility.

Ryan is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, is a PGA Apprentice professional, and is coming to Canton from his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.

This gives the Manzella Academy a presence in yet another major market, with Atlanta joining New Orleans, Louisville, New York (Long Island), and Baltimore.

Aren't there some other TGM type instuctors based there? Or maybe there was a 3 day school there not long ago?

Thanks guys for the comments. This is certainly a unique opportunity for a 24-year old and I'm excited to get started. Many thanks to both Mike and Brian for allowing and encouraging such an opportunity.

I'll be working under the umbrella of "The Affiniti Golf Academy"--managed by Affiniti Golf Management which operates 8 top-notch courses throughout the South. We will offer high-class private lessons, group instruction, and golf schools with Tom Ness (GSEM, Top 50) headlining as the Director of Instruction.

One of my first plans of action will certainly be to organize a few Manzella "A-Town" Tour Stops into the 2008 Schedule.
