Overlap Grip

I noticed in TGM that the grip used in most of the patterns is the overlap. Is there any particular reason for this, as opposed to the interlock?

I have always used an overlap grip.

I was originally informed that the interlocking grip was used mainly by players with shorter fingers..

However, it seems to be back in fashion now, so I am givin it another look..
I have always been resistant to changeingm trying to avoid that break-in period where you get blisters all over your fingers...:)

However, for this year I will be changingm for the reason that it seems to allow you to hold the club in the left hand with less pressure...

I checked my usual grip recently and it seemed like the left hand was gripping too tightly, even tho I was trying to hold the club as lightly as possible...
Just a thought..
