You've heard Brians podcast #6 about Tigers interviews? The podcast has made me looking forward to what Tiger will have to say after today. Does not look like he will post a good score.

Contrary to what Brian says (Podcast #6 http://brianmanzellashow.podblaze.com/), Tiger doesn't always bluff. A lot of times when he plays badly, he admits it.

To prove my point, here's a second round interview of the DEUTSCHE BANK CHAMPIONSHIP on Sept 3rd 2005.

======================================================================

TIGER WOODS: Well, I didn't hit it well, I didn't putt well and I didn't chip well.

Q. Was the course playing tougher today?

TIGER WOODS: It was playing a little bit tougher. Some of the guys still shot good numbers. You could shoot a good number if you hit the ball well. A lot of the pins are in areas where if you pull up, you can hit the ball close and with good shaped shots, unfortunately I didn't hit the ball very good, so I wasn't in those positions and I didn't putt well, anyway.

I didn't control it. I could hit it left or right at any given time. It's tough to play when you're out there and you've got two ways going.

Tiger is the worst interview in sports. Now he will only be interviewed by soft questioning non-star status former pros. THIS IS NOT SPORTS JOURNALISM. I know TV is entertainment but it still needs to have some intelligent questions asked and players that will answer them. If not, we all become fools holding a remote control and a beer.

It doesn't take a man to admit the ball flight was off. EVERYONE saw that. He is a soft interview at best- depth-less and shallow.

Please give examples of "hard interviews" in the golf world.

Kesseler did, at least intelligent. Miller doesn't hide punches although he doesn't interview, he tosses out hard, honest opinions.

But Leo, you are right, golf isn't known for hard interviews, but Tiger is the King of no-speak.

Today, sports and politics have jump over to the celeberity interview- if you do not treat me right, I will not allow you to talk to me again. Sad.

I listened to XM Radio from the Deutche Bank today. Bob Bubka et al.

Commentators said they were surprised to hear Tiger taking his problems so easily:
- "You would not hear this relaxed attitude from Tiger if this was a major or a WGC event!"
- "I am surprised. Tiger is not as hard on himself as I expected".

Whether Brians podcast was on the spot or not Tiger will not be the same person forever - nor every day.
