Brian,

Why does Ben Doyle recommend that the right foot be "pigeoned toed" when initial placing the foot in the address position?

Thanks,

Great one,
it makes your right foot stay in line on the downswing.
At and after impact keeps it from going into the ball. (develops the roll pattern too the left) with the right foot.
three points on the inside of the right foot to develop rolling.

Brian,

You do this just when setting up to the ball....is this right? Step in with the right foot pigeoned toed, then sole the club, then place your left foot, then reposition the right foot for chip, pitch, punch, or full motion.....do I have this right?

& when you move the right for he above listed procedures, it is NOT pigeoned toe....right or wrong?

Thanks guys

that sounds right, ben has you put the inside of your toe right on a line going to the ball, he does it like that so it is just a point not your whole foot. Then you sole the club square to that imaginary line going from the ball to your toe. Then place the left foot where you want the ball postion. then adjust right foot stance accordingly for the shot and balance.
